Wednesdays in July we travel to Istanbul with Melbourne’s infamous Turkish band Bashka. Exploring dance music from the dirt streets of Turkey, Bashka will also feature global guests each week. From Africa to the EurAsian Steppes and everywhere either side, come for a world music flight with a Turkish drive.
Musicians from Australia and Turkey, Bashka are a collective which began in 2014 and is based mainly in Melbourne and Istanbul. They play music which draws on the past, bringing centuries old sounds to modern ears.
